We're a couple looking for a good quality 4+ tent with following criteria:
Indoor living space (big enough to sit with small table and 2 chairs)
2 sleeping areas each big enough for double mattress
Living space high enough to stand up straight in
Budget up to £200
Quality a priority
Will be used for up to 2 weeks at a time in UK weather conditions as a base for holidays.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

What about a outwell minnesota 4, has 2 pods which are both 140cm and can be opened up into one big room, great size lounge and 200cm high right through.
Has steel poles makes it very sturdy.
It's a great roomy tent.
I'm thinking of selling mine, with a canopy, footprint and carpet (brought Aug 2007, only used for a weekend at a time)for around £200.
why not have a look at the wild country halo 53 ... on offer at £199 at the moment .... if you look at tent reviews on here both at the 53 and larger 73 they are very positive.
we've just bought the 73 in the gorgeous blue/cream colourway, it's arrived at my hubby's work today but he can't pick it up until tomorrow when he has his own car in ....

I love my vango icarus 500, big sleeping area that can be put into 2 good sized rooms with the divider plenty of room in living area to stretch out in chairs, also use small table - has front door, side door & if you buy the king poles (about £10) it turns the front door into a suncanopy

Just got a Sunncamp Prism and its fantastic. Have a look at latest review and pictures I put up in tent review section.
We have it for myself, wife and daughter and is great family tent. Also going cheap just now on Fleabay. Got ours of it complete with carpet for £149 and would recommend to anybody. Just dont let shape put you off its like the tardis inside.
Hi this is all great - thanks. Most of them are on the heavy side - does this reflect quality? I noticed with the Vango icarus that it's only 13 kg - it has pretty good reviews - do you think it's a poorer quality tent though?
Cheers.

We have a Coleman weathermaster and would say it beats all others in all deptartments.
I would compare it to a montana / Dakota but better.
The big advantage with the weathermaster is that behind the sleeping pods there is zipped access to a storage area. All your washing, bags and sundries can be stored in this area, leaving youe main space clutter free.
The frame construction of the tent is also first class. We have camped in all sorts of weather , no probs.
I think they are flogging them at around £199 for a L (2 pods/4man) and the XL for £299 (3pods/6man)
We have added a Kyham sun sheler to the side door, which provides great cover for the evening barby!!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
