I have answered your other post about the pegs but just to repeat it yes you will have pegs in with the tent, or a least you should have. I would give Argos a miss as you can get better deals at most camping stores. You need to check where you are going to be camping, the type of ground, hard stony ground and you will need some rock pegs. We tend to use them where ever as they are stronger than the standard pin type pegs that come with the tent and then if you want to be more secure, in case it gets windy, then some Delta pegs for your main guy lines would be a good idea.

You dont need to go mad though, some good U or V shape alloy pegs will be better than the standard one's and not very expensive. The pin pegs are fine for the flysheet and SIG and even some of the less important guy lines to start with.

I wouldn't dream of using the pegs that came with the Icarus or any other Vango product for that matter, they bend as they hit a stone and come out the ground at the slightest breeze. Go and get yourself some decent pegs (not pin pegs) from any good camping/outdoors shop.

I using these V shape pegs that are about 20 years old and have never let me down unlike the Vango pegs that failed their first outing.

regards Joe

I used the pegs that came with the tent last month and I don't think I even used all of them.  I put it up under a tree so did hit some roots, but just moved the rope a bit.  I think if I was going to a more exposed site, I would use stronger pegs though!
