me and my girlfriend went camping for the first time in years the other weekend and loved it we d just borrowed a cheap tent off someone and went off for a long weekend we are now after buying our own tent i no you must get asked for this type of advice alot sorry lol we re looking to spend around £100 or so and will be going by car and it would be nice to get one we could stand up in and with a seperate sleeping area with somewhere to sit aswell alot to ask i no lol hopefully we ll be able to get away for a few long weekends a year plus a week or two here and there

Guess you might be a bit too far away, but I have a Vango Diablo 600 for sale if you're interested, as we've just bought a new tent?
Been used 4 times and is pretty much perfect with the exception of a 1" cut in the flysheet caused first time out by some child throwing a boomerang. Been repaired though and all is watertight with no leaks.
Haven't really thought about the value of it, but quickly looking on ebay they seem to go for about £120 - £150 so I'll be happy with £100.
Totally agree with chinagirl - we have the Easy Camp Licata 400 and its a fab weekend/small family tent.

went to look round winfields of hull at the weekend and spent ages looking round all the tents and could nt decide lol just to many anyway we ended up spending more than our budget of £100 and took a shine to the outwell nevada m we payed £220 for it now we just need to get away to try it out
imo, setting a budget is ok, but, once you have looked at all the display tents, things might change. a good place to start is here, look at all the pics of the members tents. my advice would be (as a novice myself) buy bigger than you need. because once you start buying all the gear, you will need somewhere to put it.
i too, started with a budget of around £100. but i wanted a large living area and good head height. after looking around, we agreed to up our budget to get the tent we actually wanted and not a compromise againest price.
