PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a cabanon Athena frame tent, and some of our springs have gone... I have looked on the net for replacement springs and how to do it as my Grandad replaced all of his on his awning years ago.

If anyone can help it will be truly appreciated.

Thank you!

Cheryl

Hi

What springs do you mean ? Are you referring to the flexible links on the poles ?

Like these ?

Valk_scot has posted a "how to" on fitting these.

Hi

If they are these    they are available at most camping shops with tool for putting them in.

Just remove old spring, or even shove it up the pole if it won't come out and use the tool to put in new one.   The only thing to remember is that you will want to fold the pole after so give it a little room to manoeuvre.

We just pulled ours out, just be careful as the can `ping ` towards your face.

Its harder to shove them back in....I got OH to do it17 In outs there seems to be a small bar going across the inside of the pole which you hook the end of the spring onto with the tool. There is a knack....

with the old ones it is easier to use a long screwdriver and push them into the pole out of the way

with the new ones I use an old flat bade screwdriver with a notch ground into it to push the new spring in to the pole
