However the texts are part of the tracking system a lot of the better companies use.

Although helpful, they are as much to cover them as inform you. If you get a txt to say "it's on it's way" you are not likely to pop out to the shops. They get a first time delivery.

After it's delivered, they confirm the name of the recipient for security purposes.
