after ages of looking for a reasonable priced 2007 canopy, last winter I bought a vango sage and green canopy and i have to say that although the green is a little darker if anyone is looking for a good value canopy for a hartford I would get the vango one.  Colours are a really close match and it fits like a glove.  On this holiday because the pitches are so small, the canopy has been a godsend.  I couldn't use my day tent at all, but the canopy meant that i could keep cooking out of the main tent and is very space efficient, compared to a day tent/ cooking tent.

Very impressed and for 30 quid half the price of an outwell one (still) and has the benefit of being brand new!

Tell me more...?

Is it a canopy for a specific Vango tent that does the job on the outwell? This sounds like £30 well spent!

It's probably one of the ones, and John can verify, from 'Nearly New Tents' shop at Ebay. They are sold as a Universal canopy and are priced in and around £30 and they have three colours, black, green and blue. They fit most tents with a front hoop and can be fitted onto side doors as well, as can be seen in the 'Show us your tent pics' thread that is at the top of the 'Camping Under Canvas' section of this forum.

Sometimes people can get a really close fit, but generally there is a small gap between your tent and the canopy, which is for the dog to get in and out

I'm spending double the money to get the Vango Premium Extension which is essentially the same thing but with a door.

I'm going to pick up a Black and mercury one for the fron of my Coleman Evolva. Good color match as it reverses the colourway of the tent.

The Evolva has one of those horrid front doors that inclines slightly inwards so that when you unzip it in wet weather the rain comes runnin into the tent. This Vango canopy will stop that happening.

Recently went up from £29.99 to £34.99 (but this is the delivered price).
