I was able to download pitching instructions for our Royal Winnipeg (as I mislaid those that came with it) from the main Royal Tents website.  It was on there in pdf format.  Try looking there.  Good luck!

royal contact info

As its a tunnel tent, they are pretty straightforward. assemble the poles. check if they are colour coded , if they are , the coloured bit on the pole will match up to colour on the end of the sleeve it goes into on the canvas .

If they are not colour coded and one is shorter than the rest , that one will go at the back end of the tent over the bedroom area .

have you ever put a tent up , do you need detailed step by step instructions or just a basic idea ?
look
here to download the video for a similar type of tent .

Do you mean the upright metal poles that hold the side canopy out ? If you do, they have a spike in the end that goes into an eyelet on the bottom of the canopy, and you tie a guyline around the spike to hold it up .

Don't hold your breath!  I couldn't download the pdf at first so emailed an enquiry, waited a few days and got no answer.  Emailed again repeating my query and was sent the pdf as an attachment, which this time I managed to open, without any 'Hope this helps' message or any kind of nicety!  Very perfunctory, but at least they sent it, I guess!

You could try looking for other similar tents on their site and see if the pitching instructions are pretty universal.  Our tent has a side porch for which the poles are just like shorter versions of those for the main roof & body.  Then it's just a matter of getting the guy lines tight enough and in the right place to hold it out properly.  Having never pitched a proper tent before, I was able to pitch our 57kg beasty, single handed, without really refering to the instructions anyway.  It's a well made tent, I think but a simple design.  You may find it fairly self-explanatory once you've got it all out in front of you.
