hello everyone

i have been thinking about buying a new tent as the khyam tourer that i have doesn't have enough living space, but i was wondering whether there might be an extension or a porch that would fit it.

If you find one I'd be interested as well as we have one. An extension or universal canopy of some sort would make it even better - especialy if the weather isn't all it could be.

hello everyone

i have been looking at canopies from different tents to see whether they might fit mine, i was wondering if anyone can tell me how the canopies attach to the tent or are they freestanding, hope that makes sense.  i have seen one called the atrium on the khyam website and was wondering if it would fit.  can anyone advise

many thanks

We actually bought one of the Khyam windbreaks with the roof sections for cooking under and a bit of extra shelter.

thanks dadsbeaniemad i will have a look at thoes, but i really wanted something that we could put the table and chairs under, i have seen a vango one that seems to go right over the top of the tent,  thought that might do the job and as i said i saw this atrium one, that says it will fit either dome or tunnel, but not sure how.  is there such a thing as a universal canopy.

You could get a tarp and just make your own - if you get a big enough one and angle it to whichever way the wind is coming from then it would do the same job.

Tarp, guy lines and a couple of canopy poles.
Haw a search back through past posts in this section with tarp as the ley word and you'll come across some really useful info.

It's not really something I've done so not up on it at all.
We also have a Michigan L - similar front to the Tourer so needs a canopy too. We had to buy the extension to make it more useable and I know the Tourer would def benefit from one too.
