I bought the awning the minute they became available in February, and used it at Easter with no problems at all. To be fair, my husband didn't camp with us, I took my brother and his family and as they weren't campers, they listened to everything I said, and the tent and extension went up like a dream. Ditto packing away.
Just got back last night from 3 nights away in Essex (this time with husband) and my brand new front awning is ripped quite badly along a seam near to where it attaches to the main tent pole. I suspect it was my husband's fault (doesn't listen, assumes he knows what he's doing, didn't ever want an awning...blah blah blah) - but I am at a loss to know how even he managed to rip a blooming big hole in my pride and joy. Has anyone else had problems? Generally, I can't rate Outwell highly enough....
On the plus side, Yeomans are replacing the whole awning for me via my local store. I can collect the replacement awning on Friday.
