We have just camped for the first time in our new Monte Verde 900; it's an amazing tent and does the job well (a suitable upgrade for our beloved Sun Valley 8 which was simply a bedroom short for our family). It's also a bonus because the porch can be closed down of an evening if weather is less than inviting.
It's a great tent and we're pleased as punch with it but notice that in the porch area there is water seepage around the location point in the centre. It's no biggie- certainly not worth a quibble- but wondered if anyone else had experienced it, and if so what did you use to solve the problem?
TIA

We too have a monte verde 900, and I was advised to weather it well before we used it. We soaked it with the garden hose for about 15 minutes particularly on the seams and never had any problems at all with any leaks. However I do think someone else has noted this problem on the tent review section. So it may be something of a weakness there. The only problem I encountered was the eyelets on the ground sheet in the front area, all came off!!!!
