Hi

Does anyone have first hand experience of one of these ?

I'm looking for something this size - 2 or 3 man, backpackable (shared), and able to stand up to weather. I also like the idea of it being self supporting and it has two doors.

But, I've not seen one in use, and don't know anyone who has one.

cheers
Z

I found this video review on Youtube of the 3-man version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opr03zVREzc

But I too would be very interested to hear any members' views of them. It seems they're so new there's not much info about them beyond Vango's catalogue spiel.

I've been looking at buying one myself. Can't decide on the 2-man or 3-man though (for solo motorcycle touring). Both seem to pack up small enough to fit in a pannier or top box, and the weight difference is not a big deal for me, so it's mainly price and the bigger pitch area vs. whether I actually need the extra space.

He didn't pitch it very well on the video now did he? I saw one pitched at GoOutdoors and it is very similar to a Coleman my OH has and he really rates that design of tent. Looked pretty good and the porches looked a good size and very useful.

I have never used one myself, but with Vango's reputation it can't be bad, I'd always go for the larger if weight is of no consideration, it's better to have space and not need it than to need it and not have it!
