We have just bought an outwell oakland l and it is our first tent with a sewn in groundsheet. Whilst we love the tent it is so easy to pitch we have been having real problems when it comes to packing it away - we cant get the air out. We have left all the zips and doors open but still seem to end up with loads of air when we roll around the poles. Help! the video on the outwell website seems to conveniently slip this bit.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
We put the poles in separately. Basically, with poles out and collapsed tent with open zips but any vents down, fold one side to middle, then the other side to middle and repeat, it should now be a bit narrower than the bag ( if not, fold edges in again) then start to roll towards the door - we use the kids to roll over the tent in front of us to squeeze more air out! When you get to the end, it should fit in the bag and then put the pole bag in. I expect if you did the rolling, then unrolled and then re-rolled around the poles it might work!!
