Hi All

My friend is looking for some advice.  He is joining us for a festival at the end of July and needs a tent.  His girlfriend would ideally like to stand up in one to be able to get changed comfortably!  I wholeheartedly agree but I have an Montana 5 so easy for me to comment!

Does anyone have any suggestions.  They liked the look of the teepee on the Argos website but I was concerned that it didn't have a sewn in groundsheet.

Any help much appreciated.  Thanks

The Licata 400 is a lovely tent for 2 people - very easy to pitch, SIG, standing height, massive windows, good ventilation, measures 4.8m x 3m, bedroom can be divided with curtain.
If you search the Net you can find it for less than £90 - BARGAIN!!

I'll second that good tent. The Nevada S is on sale at Towsure for £159 in the new Mocha colour. I rate this tent highly and it's my favourite one to take with me when I solo camp.

Hello fin36.
My wife and I had decided we needed a bigger tent.
The dome one we still use, whilst being light and compact, is fair for a weekender.

However my wife is not keen on dressing/changing whilst horizontal.

I did some research, and ended up with a short-list of 5 possible tents.

In June, we attended a Tent Exhibition and checked out the models.

My first choice, 'Coleman Waterfall 5' was not as suitable as I thought.

However, when I noticed the Outwell Virginia 5 was on offer, I checked out the Minnesota 4 which it seems based on.
This one ticked all the boxes for both of us.

Full SIG (Bathtub type)

Detachable bedroom pod, also with Bathtub SIG

3000mm HHP

2 metre head height (I'm 5ft 14ins), and still I can stand fully erect in the pod.

Sufficient space in the pod for our 2 mattresses and kit.

I did purchase King Poles to use the door as a canopy.

Can be assembled by one person. (Takes me about 10-15 minutes for main guying)

I have posted an image or two on this site.

Oh! It is nearly half the cost of the Minnesota.

So, one to consider?

Kind regards James

In the beginning there was darkness.
Then I bought a tent.
I'm not destitute, I'm just poor.
