...there are 3 adults - we don't need 2 bedrooms as are used to 3-man tent which is fine so that doesn't matter. OH wants a tent we can sit in on wet evenings/eat in, hence the search for a new one.
Ideas? Advice? Quality more important than price.
Thanks!

Having considered the Nevada S for just the two of us, I would say that it would be a real squeeze to sit three adults inside as the living area isn't huge. Although the bedroom is fairly sizeable I still thought it a bit small so looked at others. Have you considered the Outwell Virginia 5 from Yeomans? We ended up with one as it is spacious, easy to put up and well made. The bedrooms are a good size and the living area would be ample for three. Plus, you can use an Icarus 500 canopy on the front if you want to.
OK, I'm convinced... well, at least I think so! Not having looked at Yeomans I hadn't seen this as it's exclusive to them. Wanted the Outwell quality but the Vango looked more spacious. Whilst we don't plan on throwing a party in there if OH can't move in comfort I shall be in the !
Thank you very, very much rockster; one question please - does the bedroom pod have a removable/unzippable divider so you can use it as one room should you need?
Mumma,
I am 6'3" and don't find moving around a problem. I like the space inside the Virginia and I think your OH will too. As for the bedroom divider, it is a simple piece of the bedroom pod fabric that rolls up and down and toggles into an eyelet at the front and back of the pod. No zip I'm afraid! So you have the option of one penthouse or two smaller rooms! The second room does have its own door. Hope that all makes sense. We love ours. So easy to get up and down and so comfy. With the canopy it is a dream for weekends.
Good luck
Ian

Thanks Ian - sensible helpful advice, am v. grateful. Sounds a great tent, exactly what we were looking for - more living space but without taking ages to put up (our Jersey M makes us lazy!) We go camping for wildlife-watching purposes so don't want to be fiddling with the equipment for too long ....if you know what I mean!
Hi, I have both the Nevada S and the Tigris 400. Both great little tents in my opinion. I use the Nevada S when on my own and it's just big enough for me and my stuff. I wouldn't like to camp with 2 in it let alone 3. The Tigris would be fine and is a doddle to erect. I can do it on my own. I'd go for the Tigris.
We've got a Tigris 400 and it's very roomy - will sleep three with miles of room to spare. The sleeping compartment will fit two double airbeds no problem.
We had four chairs around a small table, a huge coleman xtreme coolbox and heaps of other stuff in the living area and still loads of room for more if needed.
Have just bought a premium extension but not used it yet - it only cost about £70 but will more or less double the size of the tent.
The quality of finish and materials maybe not quite so good in the Vango vs the Outwell but for the money it's a great tent.

Thanks again - have opted for the Virginia as think it'll fit the bill exactly - space, with Outwell quality.
Am getting some Delta anchors for it - trying to work out from pics how many main guys there are that'll need strong pegs? This tent is mainly for autumn use so want stability in the wind
