hi has anyone had the stitching come away on their bed pod of the icarus 500, we used ours at the weekend for the first time and noticed that it has come away on the zip of one part of the bed pod. OH is saying to return it , i dont know wether to try and sew it ??

If it's still under the year old you can return it. I would, unless you need to use it sometime in the next couple of weeks. I think Vango's return policy is that they'll have a look at the tent and then decide whether to repair it or give you a new one. There's a three week turnaround time for that. I looked into it when I found a bit of damage to the groundsheet in my brand new Icarus but it was too much hassle and I stuck a bit of Tenacious tape on it instead, as it was less than a cm. But yours is more serious so I would consider sending it off for investigation.
you can see 4 rips to the left side of the right hand zip, two towards the top and two more towards the bottom. I took it back to go-outdoors and they replaced it instantly. good service I just hope it doesn't happen again.
