Having ordered a Vermont XL last night from towsure I have a few questions and I was wondering if you could help me out.
1 - Do the bedroom pods have green stripes on the front? I've seen a few pictures of what both websites say is the 2010 model but some seem to have stripes and some don't. TBH I'm not too fussed about whether it has or hasn't got them but it would be nice to know what to expect.
2 - Are the blue plastic pegs that come with it any good? I've got about 30 decent rock pegs which I use in all ground anyway but I save these for the guy lines and I've got loads of the little thin ones from the other tent. Am I going to need to get some more for the tent or will the plastic ones do?
3 - What colour is the carpet? On the towsure site there's a picture of two carpets on top of each other. I'm assuming its green and not blue.
4 - What's the easiest way to put it up? I've heard that the way outwell suggest is fairly difficult considering the poles are so heavy.
Hope you could answer these for me, I think its just excitement thats making me want to know.

We were told the best way to put the tent up was to peg out the back then insert one pole set at a time, walk it forward, peg out and repeat. Worked great, although we needed the help of the kids to hold the poles steady while we got it set up. Practice makes perfect though!

Putting up. Use the videos just to get a sense of the size. They miss some steps and one of them (pulling the whole thing up on the end ropes), is designed to get them to break and leave you with a repair. Its a big and heavy tent. Only put stress on the poles themselves. They are heavy but also strong. There is a point for about a minute in the process which is always a bit of a panic no matter which way you do it. Spread out. Make sure adjustable side for poles is as slack as possible. Thread poles. Depending on which way poles are lying and whether tent is wet (heavy) lift whichever pole arch will go the easiest. Anchor best you can (panic time) with pegs, people or whatever is to hand :-) Then erect other pole arches with whechever goes easiest after that. Anchor as you go. Once you have the tunnel up its pretty self supporting even in wind so you can move it about if you need to so long as you keep an eye on it and have someone at each end holding on. By that I mean if one pole arch falls they all will.
