And will that only fit on the side door? Friends of mine only uses the one side for their bedrooms and the rest is open..therefore they don't really use the side doors but the door at the end. Eeek not sure if I'm explaining this very well...

The dimensions for the end of this tent are 310 wide by 195 high. If you google the dimensions for the Vango Premium Extension and also the Vango sun canopy for both the Icarus 500 and the Icarus 600 you might be able to get a fit. I think the tunnel extension is for using on the side. It's still useful even if on the side.
Did you have any luck finding an extension to fit the vango vista 800? We bought this tent too but it appears to an old model as we're having trouble finding anything for it. Still, we been very happy with it so far...but would be nice to add a little extra room.

we have the vango tigris 600. last year i bought the kyham sun porch for a gelert tent. we sold the gelert and bought the tigris but we kept the sun porch. we decided to try it on the tigris even though we were told it wouldnt fit.
its a perfect fit, seems like it was made for the tigris and makes the tent so much bigger and warmer. we had torrential downpours and never had any water runnin inside the porch. we had 2 enquiries while we were campin last week by other campers admiring the porch and asking where we got it from.

Hi June, I was actually the person who was looking for a canopy...I've looked at the options Victoria listed...none of them are a perfect fit, but I'm sure they'll work fine if you don't mind a gap here or there.
But no, I don't think Vango makes any accessories for this tent at the moment, Go Outdoors said they might do next season but no guarantees.
We also have this tent and are going to France this year for two week. We would love an extension but as newbies to vcamping we are unsure what to get....

I too had the Vista 800, in the link you have posted do not take any notice of the measurements as they are wrong. The measurements on that page are infact for the Premium Extension and not the Tunnel Extension.
I purchased the Premium Extension as we only used the 2 rear pods and if you check out my gallery you will see how we fitted it. It was quite a good fit, had no problem with rain getting in at all and it added great cooking area to the tent.
The Tunnel Extension in my opinion will only be usable on the side. However if you look at the new 2011 side extension, it has big windows in it and is slightly bigger and has a ground sheet so would be a better purchase.
Vango Tunnel extension/canopy fits over the side door
Vango premium extension, large canopy, wide canopy fits over the end door

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
There seems to be two sizes of Vista 800, the one I have has a smaller living area than the ones I see now. I guess Vango realised how stupid big bedrooms and no living space was, anyway I gave up on a side canopy as it looked like none would fit my smaller version.
I bought it new from a shop and I'm pretty sure it wasn't Go Outdoors as there isn't one near me.
