Hi All

Just come back from Makro and see that they have a lot of their camping gear at 50% off. This included a Gelert lakesbury 5 which is marked up at £199.99. I'm very tempted with this tent at £100 plus VAT.

I've looked at tent reviews for this product and they look pretty  good, but do people think this is adequate for a weeks camping for me OH and what will be a 3 yr old next year. (ie is the living area big enough for rainy Cornwall days)?

My family got this tent last year. Daughter and her husband use big bed pod with girls of 13 & 8yo in other. Their son has pup tent for nights but uses main tent in daytime. Most people would consider needing more room but family have no problems. On one weekend I used my Coleman high raised single bed in smallest pod with daughter + 2 girls in larger pod. That was too much of a squash.

We have a Lakesbury and there are three of us and our son is 15. We haven't found the living space a problem for us but we are very outdoors people and do not tend to spend a great deal of time in our tent except for late evenings, sleeping and early mornings.

We do use wind breaks and a tarp to extend our space mainly because our son has special needs and we need to keep him contained and safe. The lack of windows could be a downside if you are spending a great deal of time inside.

I would say that is a very good price and the quality of our tent is very good. We have had no problems in wet weather.
