I'm looking at getting a family tent for myself, my wife and son. We're currently looking at the Vango Diablo 600/900 because of the large living area, SIG, larger and seperate bedrooms, and kitchen accommodating access corridor.
We have no issue with second hand, as long as in reasonable condition.
Any other suggestions as to whether this tent is a good buy, or if there are any good alternatives?
Thanks in advance!
John

I have a used once coleman pamandi 4 for sale including extra large canopy for cooking under or just for sun shadeing at £85 it as a divider in the main bedroom and will sleep your familys size easily
i wouldnt reccomend a vango i dont think the quality is a patch on coleman personly
Vango Columbia 600 - £280 (RRP last year £450), 5000HH high waterproofing, steel poles for stability, 2/3 bedrooms (we use one for storage), large open living area, sewn in groundsheet, enclosed wet weather porch for your boots, etc., Vango's TBSII internal strapping system that adds even greater stability when clipped in place in very windy weather, full or part opening front. Was in Vango's premium tent range last year and still a few around - a bargain for a top end family tent. The carpet and footprint for the 2010 Sungari 600 will fit along with the Sungari's sage canopy if you want one.
We love ours (myself, OH and 3 year old son).

we have a vango columbia 600 and what a great tent it is, I wouldnt touch a coleman tent against a vango ever, we had a coleman coastline and got rid pronto and bought the columbia 600.
we also have a decathlon family pop up and its great for short breaks/weekend camping and sleeps 4 people
We had a Vango Diablo 600, excellent tent couldn't fault it, only sold it as I wanted a change and got Outwell montana 6 also an excellent family tent.
I sold my Diablo for £130 on e-bay, if I was buying second hand I would only pay £130 - £150 for Diablo.

We have a Khyam Rdigidome Ultimate - 6 berth , with Franc trailer with ABS lid plus all eqpt possibly needed - SIMs, blow up airbeds , Porta Potti , EHU with 3 sockets , light , fan heater ,Camping Gaz Kitchen Extra , Gas bottle , regulator, camp kitchen . folding chairs and stools, rotary clothes drier - everything really except pots, pans, crockery and sleeping bags! Also 2 man Wynnster Festival tent (brilliant for storing kids' toys, etc)Will be posting on Ebay soon - lovely big tent , no leaks , sale forced to my severe osteo arthritis ( need to use the trailer tent more now to keep up off the ground!)
We had a Vango Diablo 600 and bought it for the living space. It's a wonderful tent but my husband is partially disabled and we struggled to put the tent up, so we sold it. If there are two able adults to put the tent up I'd highly recommend it.
If you like the style of the Diablo it's worth taking a look at the Outwell Hartford xl,currently on fantastic offer at 'Go Outdoors' The Outwell has better windows and is pitched as one, the Diablo i think you have to raise the inner first- can be a nightmare if raining, still a very good tent mind.... good luck.

Sam, why not post it in the free-ads on here at the price you want, and save on ebay fees?

I've just upgraded from a 2007 hartford XL to a 2010 model and so am selling the 2007 model. Only used 3 times and so is in superb condition, comes complete with extension, and carpet for £275!!...a serious bargain.
sadly, I can't seem to add a link to the ads section....but it's there!!
The Diablos seem like very good tents - but take quite a while to pitch properly and the 900 is VERY large.
Some campsites will not allow you to use a tent as big as the 900 and on others you might be charged double. Not all campsites apply this rule but it's certainly something to consider. Friends of ours bought a Diablo 900 and were frustrated to find they were limited in their choice of campsite.
