WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM A SUPERB HOLIDAY IN OUR NEW VANGO TIGRIS 800. THE WEATHER WAS MIXED WITH SEVERAL HEAVY,PROLONGED DOWNPOURS AND HIGH WINDS. THE TENT WAS SIMPLY FIRST CLASS, WITH NO LEAKS.

AS THIS IS OUR FIRST EVER HOLIDAY UNDER CANVASS, I WAS WONDERING HOW OFTEN THE TENT WOULD NEED WATERPROOFING,CONSIDERING IT HAS BEEN IN THE ELEMENTS FOR TWO WEEKS.?

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

THE VANGO TIGRIS 800 IS HIGHLY RECOMMENED !!!

Synthetic tents don't need waterproofed, with a few honerable exceptions like expensive high performance mountain tents. The flysheet fabric of a synthetic tent is made up of several layers of hi-tec materials bonded together and these are waterproof all on their own. It's only cotton canvas tents that need reproofed...and even then, not as often or as soon as you might think.  You certainly don't need to reproof a Tigris after only a couple of weeks, or even years, or at all, actually.
