just a quick question (it may sound a bit daft!) what size poles would my icarus 500 need? one of mine snapped the 2nd day of camping and i want to replace it before my next trip.
also how much roughly would it cost?

The new replacement pole most likely will be slightly longer than needed. cut it to size with a junior hacksaw, wrap masking tape around it first to stop any splintering, and rub with sandpaper to remove any sharp bits afterwards.
Dont know your location babtface but if you have a Yeomans near you nip in and they should be able to help - they always seem to carry spare poles and have helped me in the past.

thank you all for your help, went to outdoor megastore and got a set of them. although they didnt know what size for sure but ive got 11 mm ones just have to measure them! (just gota wait for my sister to finish her camping trip with my tent 1st!)
