Thanks for the heads up Gary. Can I ask if it's based on the Norfolk but with a different layout inside. Looks very similar in design. I would have to see one in the flesh also. Would it top the biscaya I'm not sure but the layout looks class. Thanks again.

I think the layout is very good if you are a family. You have two 3 berth (large 2 berths I feel) inners side by side at the back and to one side with a sort of dressing area in front of them...You could sleep the parents in this section and the kids in the inners. You then have a large living area.
You are right re seeing one...You never know there might be one on show at the NEC in Feb...have a look but take some retailers details with you and see who can offer the best deal, the people at the show or maybe someone else.
Cheers

Is the Michigan still in next years range or even an improved version of it?

Hi spindizzycamp
The Michigan is in the range as a "Michigan 6" which is very similar to the Mich L. The Michigan XL is no longer in the range but there is a Mich 8. This is similar the the Mich L of this season but has two 4 berth inners at each end which can be split with curtains into four 2 berth inners, more a vis a vis style. Prices will be about £400 for the Mich 6 and £550 for the Mich 8...

Hi Hartley Hare
The Clear Lake will be available from about Feb/Mar 2011 and the RRP is £1559. So it will sell from anywhere between £1250 & £1500. Your problem will be getting to see one up, I doubt many retailers will give the space over to a tent that will not sell in great numbers, not because its not a great tent its just not many people will want to spend that much. You would need a trailer but if you can get over the price and pack size etc then wow what a bit of kit.
Gary Cross

At that price you are moving in Cabanon prices, and tbh its only modelled on the Ohio, but with the front enclosed.
I wouldn't imagine its going to sell well as its a lot of money for a 5 berth tent

I agree but we like the layout. It would have to be very special on both design and quality for us to part with our biscaya.

Hi savanne1
Yes Outwell are still making the range of campervan style awnings but as such are still not making anything that will fit a high top style van or coach built.

I think the clear lake is nice, but I dont get the side bedroom bit.

surely its only going to be used as a changing room/storage area?

Then you've basically got a monty lake with an extra bit inside......Totally not worth the money.....

Outwell should just reinstate the norfolk lake.....best tent ever in my opinion!

Wow, what some great tents, love the Clear Lake but I have been warned by my OH that we have to stick with Bear 4 for a long time. Spoilsport!! (Not that we could afford Clear Lake but you can dream)
