Been looking at replacing my 'chinese woven shopping bag material' groundsheets with a single piece of pond liner.
Thing is, should I go for the 1mm or 0.5mm thick? Will the latter suffice? Or do you think that a 1mm thick one to cover a 6m x 4m floor would be far too big and unwieldy to pack?
Any experiences welcome please!

I use a pondliner.....a thick black one....it packs down to the size of the tent carpet.....its brilliant. Ours covers the ground of the frame tent and goes up the sides about 10cm each side.
I`m thinking it can only be 0.5mm...but TBH I`m not really sure...it can`t be any thicker
Hi , we have used a 0.5mm pond liner before and it is pretty heavy. I would think the 1.0m stuff would be much too unweildy and very tricky to lie flat without wrinkles. 0.5mm will do the job for you. Alternative is a B&Q blue tarp for £9.50 with a couple of picnic rugs on top,
Cheers
Bert
