I hate being the voice of doom and gloom.... but did you buy it from a source you can return it to?

Perhaps I am just in a negative mood tonight but I cant help but think that tent wont be the best of introductions to camping.

Do you intend using it over the Autumn/ Winter?

Planned for next year, hopefully!

Summer Solstice wild camp.

Chilled in a Field, July.

Crantock, August. Fouth year with the fantastic Quechua Base Seconds 4.2!
..... and the odd night wild camping in my Argos 1 man tent...

Thanks for responding...we got it from a car boot and paid £10 so we arent feeling too aggrevieved...we have it up but there are lots of gaps we have no idea how the bottom sheet fits onto the the acutal tent and its all wonky and it took hours.  We have it up in the garden and we shall prob take it away with us fully errect unless we can work the thing out.

I get the impression its not the 'best' brand but someone must have one or know a man that does?

Hi and welcome , looking at the reviews it looks that the groundsheet is probably not attached to the tent at all, probably just pegged down in the living area .

I'd think the 2 longer poles that cross over each other would go in first, then the 2 shorter ones .

put the pins in the ends of the longest 2 poles to raise the tent and then put the pins in the two shorter poles in afterwards .
