hello thought i would help others out there to the problem of rain coming in the front door ,,when its open ,,as outwell havent made a canopy to fit the vermont xl yet
some guy was selling this last week on ebay ,,and he happly sent me the pics of what he had done

Hello I don't suppose you know if you could use it on the vermont L too. I don't know the difference in sizes of the xl and l and having never used a canopy whether it makes a difference.
hi the vermont l is only 4.15m wide ,,,where as the xl is 5m wide
the montana 6 canopy would work better on the vermont l ,,as u see from the pics the canopy is not quite wide enoght for the vermont xl ,,,but it does its job
Could you post bit more info re your discovery. So is this a Montana canopy just popped on to Vermont xl? I mean are there any adjustments etc. Very interesting indeed

hi johnny ,,,ive been looking for a long time trying to find something to fit the front of my vermont xl
the pictures are from ebay ,,,a bloke was listing it as a montana 6 canopy,,,but in his write up said that it would fit the vermont,,,
so i asked him to send me pictures ,,as the montana 6 canopy is alot smaller in width ,,,
he sent me the photos with a small discription of it ,,,he told me the guild rops to the back of the canopy had to be extented so it would reach the steel pole ,,to fix it to the vermont xl ,,,
but i carnt see a problem with doing this
from the pics he has it on the Side Awning to witch the montana canopy fits very well,,,,
but the vermont then is over the 7m x 5m pitch size so the side awning is not for me ,,,,
he allso has the pics showing it on the front of the vermont ,,,to which it seems to fit ok,,but is not quite the width of the vermont ,,,but still does the job
Hi, I've got a Montana canopy for my Vermont L. Fits perfectly well and stays up when the weather is lively. Most importantly it helps keep the rain out when using the front door. No pics til next year I'm afraid.

Has anyone tried fitting the Montana front Extension to a vermont xl as the front canopy shown above is petty difficult to find I have been looking to get one for some time but no joy.
The current Montana front extension measures 4.25m at the base and the Vermont xl measures 4.8m so there isn't much in it. If it could be stretched out a little I think it may fit.
Has anyone tried this or do I keep hunting for a used Montana canopy.
Any ideas greatly received!
