Hi there,

I am new to the forum and also new to camping!

Just spent a weekend in our new kalahari 10  for the first time and really pleased with it.

We are looking to go over to france next year and I am looking for a proch for our new tent. Go outdoors say that the porch is being discontinued and was wondering if anyone has any experience of using another porch on this particular tent?

I will be grateful for any advice given!

We have a Kalahari 10 and love it we have a porch too - and would not be without it now!  if they have any left then snap one up quick, can't believe hey are discontinuing them, we had to have a mis match colour (last years tent, this years porch) because we originally had the Gelert Horizon porch and the colour was exactly the same but it had a few holes so we returned it and they had discontinued that colour by then - arghhh   after months of searching around i could not find the Gelert porch in the same colour so i went for the HiGear one and i must say (apart from the colour!) it is a much better porch, lovely big windows on the sides and webbing straps to support the front rather than usual guy ropes. 

I saw one while in Cornwall this summer - if you can call it a summer - and they had a porch on BOTH sides - now that made it a large tent

in essence the answer to your question is yes the Gelert Horizon Porch (if you don't mind a colour mis-match)

hi gear ,are lower cost gelert ,so the meridian tent is the kalahari (i have one)great tents i was looking at a canopy for mine ,vango do some  ,,kalahari tents sold like hot cakes ,would not of thought they would discontinue the porches might be another colour change
