They still have some of the slightly marked Kampa Fileys (quite a bit better than Croyde) available for 300 quid - other UKCS members have been very, very happy with these. An absolute bargain from a proper shop. Quite suprised they haven't all gone already. You could probably use it a couple of times and resell it for almost the same next summer.
I recommended this tent on another thread, as my sister and BIL purchased this tent last summer. It's the Easycamp Topeka 8, it's got three bedrooms and a central living area, which is just massive. It's got a sig and another entrance through the rear bedroom. There's no canopy but you may get another canopy that will fit, such as the Vango Premium Extension (compare the measurements online first).
The Tent Team is a website that allows you to search by the number of bedrooms...really useful.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
I would check out the Outwell Michigan XL, good quality, very strong and spacious tent. http://www.kendalcamping.co.uk/product.php?productid=13&cat=9&page=1 This site has info on it, my favourite outwell I think!
I have a Wynnster Pharoah 6 which is a tunnel style tent. It has three two person bedrooms, which are all seperate, so you can use it with one two or three fitted. The sleeping pods fit down one side of the tent, so give a full length down the other side plus full width at one end, as the pods don't extend all the way down. It has a small? canopy fitted at one end, and a removable end panel for daytime use. There are some reviews in the review section. Mine has been used once, and is for sale £150. I've now gone over to the canvas side!!!!!! Pitching is as easy as most large tents, and it is large, and a lot easier than my Vango Aspen of approx the same size. Some people have questioned this style of tent in strong winds, and I personally don't like the open canopy as it forms a wind sock. It's a 5000HH so good quality material, and I would think most wind damage would be caused by poor pitching and using thin wire pegs, as supplied.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
