Hi I used the Aztec canopy with my Nevada 3 all last year and whilst it was fine when up, it was a real pain to put up by myself. and not even considered if it was at all windy.

Now I have seen this fab Vango Tunnel Canopy  with a front door and windows and would love to have that as an extra room instead but would it work with the Nevada 3?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vango-Tunnel-Canopy-2010/dp/B00365A74K

The Salesman in the Camping shop said it is designed only to be used as a side canopy but I have seen photos on this site of it used as a front canopy for other Vango tents. Is it a bit wider than my tent but would that matter? Any help appreciated.

I should think so, we have used the same style of Vango canopy (minus the door) on our Nevada 3 and it worked really quite well.

It does leave a bit of a gap at the side but nothing too major!

seems the tunnel extension is a side fitting addition, and the one without the doors is a living room extension, only thing would be to check the measurements of the width, to see if its actually wide enough to fit over the front.

Also for 2011, Gelert have decided to make a front extension for the Atlantis 5 tent, complete with doors, considering the Vango one fits the Atlantis 5, so id take a guess at them being of really close size match.

The tent is 270 wide and the canopy 310 so that's a gap of about 20 cm each side. I suppose the wind could whistle through there but is there something else I should be worried about? (Apart from buying a canopy for almost the price of a new tent of course!)
