Why dont you get a utility tent and still use your quechua, plus its safer having the cooker away from the tent incase of fire and possibly cheaper, which is always good news.
belltents.com sell the ozpig and make a point of saying that it cannot be used inside the tent. They (as well as their main competition, Soul Pad) sell small stoves specifically for using in their tents. They sell bell tents, tipi's, and a few other canvas shapes, including the traditional army-style canvas tent.
Well off to the NEC on the 26th so I will take a look for myself.
Any issues with drying a bell tent ?
dogscenturion - i believ its perfectlt safe to cook with the correct stove, anyway i just want it to keep me warm :), can keep the ozpig for cooking outside
I've not experienced drying the bell yet as I only got it last Nov so due to crappy weather I can't pitch it yet. But, I will dry it either outside by draping it over the washing line spinny thing if it's warm enough, hang it out in the garage or anywhere in the house. There's lots of solutions to drying them even if you have limited space. I checked it out through the search options on here and there is loads of good advice. Just type in bell tent in the search tab and select to search under all the forums, or type in drying a tent. I have seriously learnt so much from all the lovely, helpful people on here
I cannot wait to get out there and get it pitched. I've always been a fair weather camper but as soon as I can get my grubby mitts on the stove I will be camping all year if I can!!
PS: Love the idea of an ozpig. How have you been getting on with it? It looks like a seriously great piece of kit for outside. Can you use it on sites that do not allow real fires on the ground but allow raised bbq's? I've always assumed you could as it's raised off the ground but I'd like to know for sure.
