I have just brought a Kampa Salcombe 8 tent from ebay. It is a good size tent but there are 2 issues that I would like advice on

1 - The pins that go ion the pole have gone rusty and have left marks on the tent. Does this affect the tent in any way? Will the tent still be waterproof?

2 - On this model there is a window vent thing which you can wedge open with window support things. The tape that they have put on the inside is peeling off does this mean that the tent leeks?

I have complained as they are a shop and the description was minimal They said they are going to look into the matter but I just wanted the opinion of other campers.
