hi folks does anyone know if there are any outdoor tent displays on now in the north west area i dont fancy sitting in all day id rather be looking at tents and camping gear

Think it is this weekend that Outdoor World nr Chester have their big display launch and Caseys Camping at Grosvenor Garden Centre nr Chester have their tents up now.

Definatley worth visiting, is the Karsten Tent display, which is on at Fishpools Farm Campsite at Delamere CW8 8HP.
It's only on for the weekend of 21/22 May, I went last year and was very impressed with the Karsten tents, and they are definatley on my wish list, they make the Vango inflatables look like toys.
Also whilst in that area, you could visit Caseys, to have a look at the Cabanon Awaya tent display along with the TT's and FC's.
There is also a large tent display close to Cheshire Oaks, not sure who runs that, as I have never been, but I am told that you can see the display from the M56 Motorway.

Went to the Cheshire Oaks display about 3 or 4 years ago. They had lots of gelert and vango tents on display at the time. Its located on a large field on the left as you approach Cheshire Oaks (via the M53). Not sure exactly when that one starts. As Francais says it is visible from the motorway, but it is the M53 (not the M56).
I always like going to Yeomans (Wigan way) and combine that with a trip to the Wigan Go Outdoors.
The display at Cheshire Oaks doesn't normally get set up until way into the summer months for some strange reason (June/July time). I pass the field everyday to and from work and it is definately not set up yet and I remember last year thinking how late they were at putting the display together. I'm sure it is the summmer months.
