Hello all, I know there have been quite a few posts about lightweight tents but I would appreciate any further advice if possible from you lovely people. My friend is going on a camping tour of Holland on his bicycle in a few weeks time and requires a 2 man tent. It needs to be lightweight, small pack dimensions, and preferably around the £40 mark or less if possible, as money is a bit tight. Can anyone offer any advice?
Cheers

Thanks so much for your reply. That does look like a great one, although as you say a little bit more than £40. He's found a few others too which we are looking into;
Snowden Lightweight 2 Person Tent,
Gelert Tempest 2 Tent,
Vango Atlas 200,
Highlander Jura 2,
Coleman Bedrock Two Man Tent
Happy Camping!

I would suggest that you would be better off posting in the backpacking section for this sort of tent.

Expect rain in Holland at some point so too cheap would be false economy. Weight is a consideration & the 2 more expensive tents linked to are half the weight of of the cheaper ones.
I hope your friend has a good quailty bike, particularly with good wheels, a heavily laden bike with poor quailty wheels will end up with broken spokes.

All the best lightweight tents around 1Kg plus. Such as Hilleberg .Terra nova are top class tents . " But very dear " Out of most of our price reach .
So I suggest you look at the Vango range .
As I bought . A Vango Alpha 250 Tent to go cycling and camping out . It cost me £30. Its got plenty of room as a two man tent well made .
Unfortunately . It Is 3:6Kg . But If you want comfort . Its good value .

How about this......similar to the Vango Banshee 200 which I have. Good little tent and within budget.
