There's a thread from years ago here - Does it help?  Also, are the instructions sewn into the bag?

Welcome to UKCS by the way!

We have a Gelert Mayon Vario which has steel poles. Think the Lokon has fibreglass poles? Our instructions were sewn inside the bag. After threading the main poles through the sleeves, ours then has strengthening poles that go horizontally at head height inside the tent. Don't know if that will help at all.

Hi

Hopefully this will help.

Mayon Vario 6 INSTRUCTIONS
CONTENTS CHECK LIST
 Flysheet/main tent
 2 x Inner compartments
8 x multi section steel poles
 4 x multi-section fibreglass poles
2 x multi section steel internal support poles (Adjustable)
2 x multi section steel porch poles
 67 pegs (approx)
 17 guy lines
 2 groundsheets
2 tent tidies (may be already attached to flysheet)
ASSEMBLY
 - Connect pole sections to make 8 (outer) steel pole lengths,4 fibreglass pole lengths and 2 (black) internal adjustable steel pole lengths.
 - Connect 2 outer steel poles and 1 outer fibreglass pole together (Steel-fibreglass-Steel) to make 4 complete outer pole lengths.
 - Spread flysheet/outer on the ground & thread each pole
through the pole sleeves running across the width.
 - Insert one pin attached to flysheet into the end of each pole.(Release tension straps to aid pin insertion). From the opposite end of the pole push & bend the pole into a semi circular shape & insert the pin attached to the flysheet into the end of the pole. The tension straps can now be tightened to lock pins in place.
 - Peg out flysheet. To aid pegging out ensure internal floor straps are stretched across tent & all doors are closed. This sets the correct shape of the tent.
 - Once flysheet has been pegged out insert interior support poles along the length of the tent utilising the webbing pockets at front & rear of the tent, hook & eye ties and material ties. Adjust the end section to set the correct tension.
 - Peg out guys & adjust.
 - Hang inner(s) using colour co-ordinated hanging loop & toggle system.
 - Peg out bedrooms and living area groundsheets (if required).
 - Pitch canopy (as required) using poles & guys provided.
 - The front panel can be unzipped and relocated one panel into the tent. This reduces the living area space but provides a larger porch area.

If you want a the instruction sheet with images drop an email to info at gelert.com, and someone will send one out to you.

thank you all,(Julie, you are right some of the poles are fibreglass!)the tent is now pitched in our back garden,I am still unsure of ground sheets???why two,or is that a daft question?does it matter too much about pegging down inner tents?I imagine the one hole in the ground sheet is to allow for a peg to pin down the inner tents?

The reason there are two groundsheets is because the front door can be moved back to make the front into a porch. You should have a zip for this inside your tent. That is how our Mayon Vario is.

If you go to tent reviews and click on members pictures, the first one shows the door moved back.

Hi Julie, thanks again, see what you mean!this explains why ,when trying to secure inner tents using the hole in the large ground sheet,it seemed a bit tight,!!yes there is a zip for moving back the door section. Iris.
