My apologies if this has been discussed before, but has anyone seen one of these before, or know if they are any good ? They do look impressive....

easier/faster to set up, no more breaking poles, or carryinh heavy poles. just got to remember to take a puncture repair kit

Nah ... They'll never catch on.

Plenty of discussion here.

Oh, and they do come with a puncture repair kit, apparently.

Enjoy.

We're seriously considering an Airbeam for next year, subject to reading some positive reviews.

Having been to see the Karsten tents at a display in Cheshire last year, and then seing the Vango Airbeam a couple of weeks back at Winfields, I can say that the Vango is a mere toy in comparison to the Karsten, and that if I was in the market for an inflatable tent, then it would without doubt be the Karsten, even with a price tag of not far of £5k!.

I saw the Airbeam tents for the first time at Attwoolls yesterday and was very impressed! I too have seen the Karsten tents up close and whilst the quality is amazing, the price tag is simply beyond most peoples budget and I wouldn't compare the two. I am firmly a canvas fan, but if I were to be tempted to buy another plastic tent, these are definitely what I'd go for! I would have no fear whatsoever about them holding up to bad weather, in my experience it's usually poles that break leading to torn flysheets!
