OK smockb firstly the carpet only covers the living area many people use picnic rugs in the bedrooms, 2nd one electric port its by the side porch 3rd you do not need to seal the seams though a tube of seam sealer is included with the tent along with some repair patch's, im on my second Montana and have had no trouble with either of them, seams or otherwise,a really good tent made even better by the porch awning!

No extra waterproofing is needed and the seams on the Montana are taped on the inside. The carpet doesnt go underneath the bedrooms
