Hello, wonder if anyone can suggest a tent for us, I have looked all over the place online and struggling. We are going camping this summer and our two teenage sons are coming, both over 6ft tall and don't want to share our tent, I want to get one for themselves, we need one with good sized headroom, one bedroom is fine as they are happy to share and a good sized porch area, but because we are spending quite a lot on the main tent, don't have a huge amount of money to spend. A lot of the 3/4 berth tents only have 140cm height, can anyone suggest anything, we are going on a shorter trip in May and really need to get something soon. Thanks for any advice. Alison

Vango Kairos 400 - 5 min pitch with steel pole & tied arch fibreglass pole. My 6ft OH stands upright in the centre. Use SIMs or low height airbeds (<11cm) and its a fab tent! Can pick up for about £100 if shop around.
------------- Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
If you are pitching 2 standing height tents, you may well be charged for 2 pitches, as it will be deemed by some sites as having 2 seperate units. A pup tent is usually a low height tent, used just for sleeping with no spereate living area.
Just something to consider before you part with your money as having to pay for 2 pitches could be expensive.
It may be worth contacting a few sites and asking them about their pup tent policy to see about any size/height or age restrictions to get an idea of any limitations you may face.
Helen has a good point there, some sites may not allow you to put up a second "tent" on the same pitch well worth checking out

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again

Would have to agree totally with you.
If they want their own space ie tent etc you will certainly be charge for another pitch unless like quoted above you use a pup tent as alot of places accept these at no extra cost because of their dinky size
Many thanks for all your replies, we have taken the advice and persuaded the boys to join us in the icarus 500 with canopy, yet to buy it, trying to find both cheaper than £270, trying to find the 2011 one. thanks again, your help is much appreciated. xx
If you intend using airbeds to sleep on then I would tend to go for the 600 rather than the 500. The 500 is cosy for 4 adults. Check on line prices find the cheapest and then do a price match with "go outdoors" they will match the lowest price and then deduct another 10%
