Hi there! We currently own a fantastic Croyde 6 tent but are looking for a smaller sized tent just for the weekend. I have my eye on a Vango Tigris 400. Anybody out there have one of these? There is 4 of us: myself, husband and our two kids (4 and 2) and we need to all sleep together. The Tigris 400 seems to fit the bill but wondered if theres any others we should consider before we buy it!

What about the Vango Calisto - which has steel poles but still a compact pack size?

Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!

I certainly wouldnt recommend the Tigris as Speedcamp said think small size and steel poles unless youre on a tight budget of course

We have a Tigris and whilst we love it we are thinking of getting the Kampa Croyde. Partly because I want a tent with steel poles!

I have a Tigris 400 and am very pleased with it. Although it has fibre-glass poles, it has stood up to wind very well and we've never had a pole snap (yet!) and we've just started our third season with it.

I have found the Tigris 400 perfect for weekend breaks.  I can put it up myself and it is a good size for 2 adults and 2 children.  I have just added the tigris 400 canopy for cooking in and that has made it a perfect set-up for when the weather is not so good.  I don't have experience of the other tents mentioned and struggle when there is too much choice!  Hope you find something to suit.

We went to Go Outdoors yesterday and settled on a vango Icarus 500>. Seems to fit the bill perfectly. Can't wait for a sunny weekend now!!!!
