Just done it, ordered a new tent, the 5m ultimate from belltent.co.uk
Was a little undecided between soulpad and belltent but we eventually want an inner and the belltent inner has an extra divider but there is no mention of this on soulpads website, I have a feeling it might fit ok in a soulpad tent and really preffered their price but would be more than disappointed if it didnt fit so went with the more expensive option.
Hope we've done the right thing.

We have a 5m Bell tent from Belltent.co.uk, excellent tent and we love it... in fact we've given away and sold all our other tents. Now we have a 5m, a 4m and soon to have a 6m bell tent.
It's a completely different feel and style of camping, my only regret is that we didn't find them earlier.
that's annoying, i've got last year's inner and that doesn't have a divider. that would be useful with three kids. that's the only thing that i don't like about our belltent, not having any privacy from the kids!

The 5m is just about big enough for us, 3 teenagers, wood burning stove and a fat dog. We bought the 4m on impulse last year as it was cheap and we had the foolish notion that we might get away without the kids- like that will ever happen!
The 4m got its maiden voyage as the kitchen tent at easter, cant believe the difference in size, that extra meter in the bigger tent makes a huge difference to the amount of usable space and i am so glad that we decided to but a 5m as the main purchase.
The 5m probably would be big enough, but for longer camps the 6m will give us that bit more space, and then there is the fact that my hubby is worse than me for finding things to spend money on, especially camping stuff. I cant moan too much though as I made him sell the Arkanas 7 to help finance it :)
never had a problem with pitch size, but then again we dont normal camp at sites where they mark out the pitches anyway
