Hi all

Have had many years of happy holidays in a Sunncamp APS 3002 and 3004.

Really appreciate how steady they both are, and they've been hard wearing too. We need to accommodate a family of 4 (2 adults) and accompanying stuff (plus dog), must be able to stand up in it, and preferably be able to pitch singlehandedly. Packed size not critical, I use a small trailer for all camping gear. We tend not to have single night trips.

APS' have been good, however has the advance of technology yielded a tent to surpass it?

All suggestions welcomed.

Darren

Our first tent was the Sunncamp APS 3006+ which was a lovely tent.
Sadly the mice got to it and we replaced it with the Khyam Ontario 8.

We have been really pleased with this tent - excellent size for a family, easy to pitch (OH can do it solo but it's quicker if I help too!), 3 spacious bedrooms (2+2+4), large central living area (3.7m x 3.2m), good ventialtion, standing height throughout (2.25m), SIG, 5000HH rating.

Ours is now 4 years old, still looks like new and has withstood everything the great British weather has ever thrown at it without a leak or split pole in sight.

Love our APS 2302 - the four berth in one pod, photo in my gallery. Haven't used it for a while, but I just can't sell it

We mainly use the Cabanon frame tents and the Combicamp now. I'm a 5'4" 9st. female & I can put both of our frame tents up on my own. Frame tents are also as robust as the APS in high winds & thunderstorms (as we've found out!). Have a look at some second-hand frame tents on ebay.
