That was the problem with our Raclet, the pegging rubbers were all inside the tent so the mud flaps were all flapping loose on the outside, I had a few ideas, including adding eyelets but in the end I (grudgingly) sold the tent on.....

I'm never that concerned about mud flaps, probably because we rarely use a groundsheet. Some of our Cabanon ones hang outside, some poke in. When it's wet I try to stick them outside and then any rain drains away from the tent rather than going inside under the groundsheet.

There is one advantage to outside flaps.......if it's pouring with rain when your pitching, you can peg out inside the shelter of the tent
