When it was just me, OH and 2 kids, Outwell Montana 6, the best tent we ever had. Only got rid cos we needed another room for old granny to come.
I would choose a 6 berth tent for 4 people, never under estimate how much space you need, especially with kids and Living area for rainy days.
Outwell, Vango, Kampa all good makes with loads of variety, try and see loads and read all reviews rom here when you find one you like.
