Hello,
Husband and I have a Malu awning for our bell tent and so far, we have been unable to put up this awning in a way which will serve any useful purpose. It is very low and we have to crouch right down and seems likely to fly off at any moment... Does anyone have any tips for us to use this or do we just sell it as we can't use it??? Any help gratefully received.

we have one we use in front of a 4m bell and found it tricky but now we got the hang of it its great, sometimes we use it separate, when away with friends, just like the pic on the bag then its a sort of communal cooking place, if its just us we put it like the pics:
ooohhh, how do you add a pic?? then i can show you how we do it, which seems to work. x
Hi Apple1,
You can follow these instructions: http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=5&TopicID=105734&PagePosition=1 or these http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=5&TopicID=67188&PagePosition=1
As you can see, I am not that great... at this either
Sorry to ambush Rotterdams post but we have exactly the same issue. We are having a trial run with the tent tonight (warm day but prepared for a cold night) but having put up the awning it is huge (5m Bell tent + 3.5m awning) I doubt the campsites we want to use will be able to accommodate the size.
Does anyone have experience of this? Alternatively any suggestions how we could set it up so it doesn't take up half the campsite?

This is how I want to set the canopy up when I get round to ordering one. I would have thought with yours you would need to get a couple more king poles that adjust to height you want to lift one side. It just looks more versatile this way IMO.
