Absolutely NOT. Its practically new. You will know when you need to waterproof it - you'll be wet.

In all seriousness, you dont need to waterproof a tent that has had 4 outings. Perhaps for peace of mind you could purchase some seam sealer and fabsil for the seams and zips if you eventually get a leak, but to be completely honest and to put your mind at rest. You are probably a good few years away from worrying about leaks and reproofing.

As already said tent is almost new. Buy waterproofing by all means for when it's required but I wouldn't do it just yet.

As regards to instructions, all the products you could buy for this task will come with full instructions on how to apply and it's intended uses, usually with a helpline and website to boot.

PS, take your caps lock off!

Hi

I bought second hand a Lichfield 8  cotton/canvas tent. I guess it's about 10 years old.Having been assured that it was leak free! :/

The first outing it leaked around the kitchenette area so after advice I sprayed the whole tent with a few cans of Fabsil aerosol.

Second outing  exactly the same leaked same place. I have checked and there are no holes or tears.

Should I cut my losses and ditch it do you think?

It would be a shame as it's very spacious with good sized bedrooms.
