Hi there

I need all the info you have got! All he hints,  all the advice, all the do's & all the donts!  So feel free to give me your lifetimes hints & tips!

Meanwhile:  We are about to buy the Sprayway River 8 tent... but it doesnt look like its got a sewn in groundsheet!  I need atent with lots of rooms/personal areas to satisfy the needs of my foster kids (Social works needs really!)

Is there a tent like the River 8 that has a SIG?

Also.... what do most beginners THINK they need, but never actually do?  As I am starting from scratch & dont want to waste money!

Hope u can help!

We find we can't do without 4 main luxuries:

1). Electrical Hook-Up lead
2). Fridge
3). Hot air convector heater (for cold nights!)
4). Portable, flushing loo!

These may seem expensive at first, but they sure as hell make life in a tent more comfortable!

At our age (we've done the minimal/lightest/bare essentials only), when touring on our motorbike, we now enjoy a little comfort when camping!

Have fun guys!

Assuming that the foster kids have to be in seperate rooms, how many rooms do you need.
A friend of ours has 3 foster kids he takes camping, he uses a kalahari 8 so they all have seperate rooms and shares one with his partner

Remember to take spares, guy lines, pegs duck tape, seam sealant, poles, patch repair, clips for poles , blankets( under air bed),board games, tent carpet and so on.

There is also pegs with lights , good for marking out your tent so people don't trip over guy lines.

There has been check list forms before . Put in" check list "in search

Part of the fun is forgetting things and having to make do

Just remember to enjoy your self's..............................
