We are a family of 5 (oldest child =7) we have a coleman michagan but are looking for a weekend tent that pitches quick and ideally has some inside space separate to the bedroom...am I asking for too much or should I just go for a larger tent to replace the coleman and cope with taking longer to pitch?
Thanks
Tim

Hi, have you looked at the Khyam quick erect tents, they are easy to pitch alone which is great if one of you needs to see to the kids, we are in the same situation as you, 3 kids aged 7 down to 5 months and my OH can pitch our Khyam Harewood single handed including the additional annexe.
Hi, we are a family of 5 and are now purchasing a Bell Tent for weekends. Recently went away with our Kampa Filey 6 which we love but takes us ages to put up. Our friends had a 5m Bell Tent and the husband put it up in about 20 mins on his own, which was pretty impressive seeing as it was the first time they'd ever pitched it. I was laughing at my friend before we went when she said she was taking a tea light chandelier and rugs, but actually it looked really cosy (although wouldn't trust my lot anywhere near candles!). You can buy separate inners for them if you want bedrooms. www.Soulpad.co.uk have the option of one big bedroom or two quarter bedrooms, however a lot of people think that spoils the look and feel of a Bell Tent. We are going to see how we get on without an inner first.
It may be possible for other people to pitch tunnel tents quickly but I think it's a different story if you have young kids who are left running wild whilst two of you wrestle with the tent!
