Hi all, we have a Maryland XXL, the front porch of which slopes downwards whcih means both you and the inside of the porch/kitchen are gets wet through when you enter the tent in the rain. I know an extension is available but it's the same shape so will have the same problem, what I am after is a canopy to fit the tent, I cannot fiend a Maryland one, but does anyone know if I can use the canopy from another model tent? and if so, which one?

thanks

Hi
By "Canopy" do you mean a sun canopy with open sides or an extension with closed sides but open front.

Yes, I think, just something to keep off the rain when you are going in and out of the tent, it doesn't need to have full sides on it so just a top and half sides would be ok. I did think about getting a cheap gazeebo type thing, but the campsite I use will charge me extra for it!

Outwell used to make a sun canopy for the minnisota 4 which is about the same width as your porch if you can find one on Ebay you could probably adapt it to fit. Aztec and a couple of other manufacturers also make sun canopies. You could also have a look at some of the Gelert canopies to see if any of them would suit.

Hope this helps
