Hi Everyone,

We are a family new to camping an have bought a used Lofoten 6 Rage Tent, unfortunately there are no instrucions with it.

I have contacted Rage to see if I can buy some but they have not replied.  Can any one help me with instructions on how to correcly erect the tent, we have done it once but was a nightmare and can only assume we are doing it wrong as all the reviews state that it is easy to raise.

Any advice would be useful, we are going camping in a few weeks and are worried that if it is windy and raining when we arrive then we may not get the tent up.

Thanks

Ralph

Hi Ralph

Welcome to UK CS. Can't help myself but the tent is reviewed on the site here:

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/p/Rage-Lofoten-6/479

One of the members reviewing may be able to help if you reach out. Good luck.

Hey,

I have one of these and it really is easy to pitch after the first couple of times honest!

I'm gonna do this as my son did to me so if i come across as patronising I apologise lol

First off, all of your poles should be colour coded....blue, red and yellow...total of 5 poles...and the sleeves on the tent have the colours on too so you know which pole goes where...

With your tent laid out on the ground, push the correct pole through the sleeve, leaving roughly the same amount of pole overlay on each side. We always put the three side poles in first and the the two front to back in after. When doing the front to back, make sure they go OVER the poles already in.

Starting with the first side pole, hook the pin in one side and then do the other side....trying to put them both in at the same time doesn't work for us! Then either get someone to stand inside holding the tent up as you work back or pin the guide rope off the door so it holds the front of the tent upright and work backwards. Then do the front to back ones in the same way. You can then adjust the tent so the tension ropes on the inside are taut. Clip the poles, peg in and the tent is up.

The bedroom pods are colour coded too on the elastic toggle bits at the top so are easy enough to do.

To take it down, we unclip all the pole clips, take out all the pegs and then remove all the ring pins and let it collapse on itself, remove the poles and then put it in the bag lol

What an essay lol, but I hope it helps....I have to also say that I LOVE my tent
