Sorry bout that my question was concerning the vango airbeam tents and not overinflating them so the tubes explode how do you know just how much pressure just using the supplied pump

The man who showed us how to inflate one at our local shop said the connector would pop out when it reached the right pressure!

I don't have a vango inflatable tent, but I do have a new generation low pressure inflatable tent. I use the yellow plastic style pump, very common these days for most inflatable products which is used on the you tube Vango video, but is not the one supplied by them. This is also mentioned in the video. They state 12 to 15 lbs a sq inch. I think you would struggle to get this much pressure from one of these pumps, but would think I normally acheive about 3lbs a sq inch with mine before the connector pops off. The valve is a non return valve, so you will not loose air when it pops off. To deflate, you have to unscrew the outside of the valve. I have had no problems with mine collapsing in strong winds, even with no guy lines attatched, at this lower pressure. My tent is a smaller four man, so less wind resistance. Hope this helps.

Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.

The ones we saw had the sort of double screw-in plug you get on air beds with a non-return valve to inflate and you unscrew the whole thing to deflate. I seem to think there was a pressure gauge on the pump.

Have a look on the reviews for the 600 as apparently vango have changed the recommended pressure from 5 down to 3 as this is what was causing the beams to leak and explode.

We had the Infinity 600 and the 'worry' of beam pressure took the joy out of the tent. On a hot day (prior to Vango's adjusted 3psi instruction), one of our beams exploded (highly inconvenient and embarrassing!) During a windy day (with 3psi plus a couple of extra pumps as per new instructions), the beams kept buckling low to the ground and then popping back up (again, embarrassing). The tent leaked profusely in the rain anyway. Needless to say, Vango has had yet another Airbeam returned for a refund. Why on earth aren't they recalling these tents?!
