Hi guys, we are looking for a smaller tent for late season to use other that our Icarus 500, which we are suitably impressed with. Late season tends to be wetter and windier and were looking for a tent better for those conditions.

We are looking at the Vango Icarus 300 and the Omega 350.

The Omega has a better HH (5000/3000)and alloy poles, but the living area groundsheet is open, and it could get draughty on the colder evenings, the Icarus has an SIG, and fibreglass poles.

Any thoughts?

They're both great tents, but I don't know whether you'll get real 'weather resistance' from either - you might as well just take your existing Icarus 500.

If you want to really brave the elements then something like the Vango Hurricane 300 is ideal, it's got a bigger internal area than the Icarus 300, but no external space (but it will stand pretty much anything on the weather front!).  If you're looking for a bit of external space too, the Orchy 400 is a bit more stable in bad weather.

The Equinox 350 also looks like a great late-season tent with external space, but I've never seen one actually pitched in bad weather.
