Hi, I am nearly a newbie to camping but am already addicted. We bought a Vango Venture 500 second hand off ebay a couple of months ago and so far have been on two camping trips and we are already hooked!!
We are already seeking to upgrade our tent as we would like one with a bigger living space (there are only 2 of us). After doing a lot of research we really like the Vango Aspen as it has a huge living area, and 'windows' in the bedroom area which I like.
I just wondered if anyone has one of these tents and what you think of it. I don't think they are made any more but I can't find one similar in current production.
Thanks, and I'm sure there will be millions of other questions to come!!

I have an Aspen 500 which I have been trying to sell for over a year -Plenty of room for two . Reasonably easy to pitch but it is inner first . Striking to look at and warm to boot . It was succeeded by a pitch in one , Zambezi or something similar sounding , but they were plagued by faults . The nearest they do is the Marista ,which is a fine looking tent , and the 700 is particularly well endowed ,and can be had for £370ish , often with a carpet or fitted ground sheet .
Would you recommend the Aspen? just curious that you've been trying to sell it for a year and had no buyers? If it is still available, how much would you be looking for it?
I had one buyer , but felt that it would be too much to do by themselves . As for price , well I'm open to offers . I see you are in Bolton. If you are near Nottinghamshire any time , perhaps we could organise something.
------------- Be seeing you!!

I also have an Aspen 500 standard version, and also a Venture, well actually it's a Tamor which was a revised version. The Aspen is a great tent, even though mine is also for sale. We've used it in some bad weather, and it never moved or dripped. Other than being a bit of a pig to pitch, I can not praise it enough. We have gone over to old fashioned frame tents, that's the only reason for selling it. The Aspen is easier for taller people to pitch, and also easier if the second pitching version is used, where the tent is pitched like a tunnel tent with the roof sections fitted before lifting the legs etc. We now have pitching down to about thirty minutes, plus extra guys for windows etc, of which there are plenty. Never really saw a problem with inner tent pitching first, if it gets wet, it will dry out, the same as condensation ends up on the fly sheet. If you like it go for one.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
